The Brief:
FIFA wanted to celebrate the impressive growth of women’s football over the last 3 decades, delivering an innovative social campaign that is unique to FIFA, and is seen as a point of reference for digital content in the women’s football space.  

The Challenge:
30 years is a lifetime ago in the context of womens' football. The legends have largely been forgotten and the true pioneers of the sport weren't recognised at the time. We needed to create a campaign that moves our audience - by paying homage to the legends who moved us forwards, and the players of the future who will continue the legacy. The objective is to engage our audience in an impactful way, whilst growing the reach of our channels and the love for the game.  

The Solution:
A multi-faceted campaign to celebrate 30 years of togetherness in the women's game - and show how the tournament has progressed. Through epic hero films that bring together legends of the game, to seamless highlights of the best action of the past 30 years, to bespoke player illustrations and interactive quizzes presented by stars of the game and a cohesive look and feel to bring all the content together.

My Role:
As CD I oversaw the entire campaign, managing the creative output as well as stepping in to interview players.
